Elite sponsors of the New Zealand Institute of Building Surveyors (NZIBS), Resene Construction Systems have been spreading their wings through their lightweight concrete systems, specific design testing & fire rated systems.
General Manager Mike Olds says the company’s focus for the last 12 months has been on high performance façade testing, dealing with specific wind design for a variety of projects around New Zealand.
“We’ve been working on the Wellington Airport Rydges Hotel, which was the starting point for us to get underway with our specific design façade testing programme. Having the ability to provide Façade Engineers with complete 4284 test results provides the best surety in terms of design performance.”
Resene Construction Systems have also completed significant work on the fire testing of façade systems, including lightweight concrete façade systems and paint texture and plaster systems.
“As well as that, we’ve been working with Auckland University Engineering labs on a variety of acoustic solutions, with the results due to be released in October or November this year.
“This also involves Intertenancy walling systems, and flooring systems.”
According to Mr Olds, Resene Construction Systems is always looking for solutions that enhance the built environment.
“In terms of passive fire protection systems, compliance with the building code, and using systems that have got adequate redundancy in them, Resene Construction Systems want to provide surety for their specifications.”
