We have established offices in Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington and are seeking to employ in our Auckland office an experienced weathertightness building surveyor who is also experienced in project management and contract administration.

NZIBS and/or RICS qualifications are preferable together with knowledge of the history of the New Zealand building industry, weathertightness and expert witness experience.

 Position: Building Surveyor

Maynard MarksMaynard Marks Limited is a professional building and property consultancy practice offering a wide range of Building Surveying services with a current employment opportunity for a Building Surveyor.

We have a specialist team involved in weathertightness investigation, dispute resolution and remediation of leaky buildings, ranging across a broad spectrum of property types, from standalone residential properties to commercial buildings. Other specialist work areas covered include; due diligence surveys, dilapidation surveys, stock condition surveys, feasibility studies, long-term maintenance planning and sinking fund analysis.

The qualifications and experience required would include a construction or design related degree or diploma with a minimum of 5 years experience. The candidate would ideally hold current membership with the New Zealand Institute of Building Surveyors (NZIBS) and/or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). This position is also open to overseas applicants interested in immigrating to New Zealand.
